Foundations of Mindfulness

This class is for new or intermediate meditators who wish to develop or deepen contemplative skills. We will cover the basics of building a meditation practice and integrating awareness into daily life. It is a small class (our limit is 12 students) so there will be ample time for questions and discussion.
Using Four Foundations of Mindfulness as a framework, we will build the class content around the actual issues and experiences of the students. Four Foundations is a seminal Buddhist teaching given by Buddha himself 2,500 years ago. This is very much a hands-on approach, with 30 minutes or more devoted to actual meditation practice (depend on the experience level of students, this may initially be broken into two sessions of 15 minutes).
In order to benefit from the course, students will need to practice meditation at home on a regular basis.
